Volcano Extends Competitive Edge

The Volcano Vaporizer is the world’s leading vaporizer, and Storz and Bickel continues it’s commitment to produce the very best. A new removable air filter and a retooling in the manufacturing process leading to a weight savings of about a pound help assure that the Volcano will maintain its leadership position over several newer entrants into the Vaporizer market.

The Volcano has always been the most technologically advanced Vaporizer, and now these refinements keep it ahead. There are several new types of Vaporizers that have been introduced in the last year. Most of these are lower cost alternatives, whereas the Volcano is a high-end product.

Previous versions of the Volcano have an internal filter. So, if it they ever became clogged, the only option is to send the unit back to the manufacturer for replacement. With the new version, the filter can be replaced by the end user.

Weight and materials savings has also been achieved in the new version. Retooling of the processes used to manufacture some of the casings and housings used in the Volcano has lead to some significant weight savings. The total weight is down to about 5 pounds from about 6 pounds.

The design and critical components remain unaltered in the newest generation of the Volcano. In fact, the unit is the same design as when first introduced in 2001. The Company continues, however, to make ongoing refinements to the Volcano, and new products are also planned for the future.

Sophisticated, high-tech vaporizers like the Volcano are a new development. However, the market is expected to grow rapidly as the product continues to develop a following. The Volcano is also used for aromatherapy, incensing, and vapor diffusion.

The German manufacturer of the Volcano Vaporizer, recently introduced a couple of significant improvements; a new air pump that makes the bag inflate twice as fast, and another that keeps the bag from blasting off into outer-space from the increased inflating power.

What really differentiates the Volcano from other vaporizers is the unit's ability to maintain optimal control over temperature. Now that same control is maintained with a much higher velocity.

The new Volcano is so robust that it is capable of blowing the bag right off the valve if you use only one O-ring, or leave it on the base too long. The air pump has almost twice the output of the older units, and yet it maintains as good or better control over the temperature consistency at output.

That's why Storz and Bickel has also introduced a new balloon clip. The Volcano still works well with the black O-rings, but some will find the new clip works even better.

The timing of the Volcano add-ons coincides with Storz & Bickel studies on herbal alternatives that make a great fit with the device - sage leaves (salvia officinalis), hops cones (humulus lupulus), and the flowers of chamomile (matriarca chamomilla). Vaporizing thyme herb (thymus vulgaris), lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) eucalyptus (eucalyptus globules) leaves, and lavender (lavendula angustifolia) flowers also works well, according to the company's test results.

The Volcano is manufactured in Tuttlingen, a town in Southern Germany regarded internationally as the center of medical technology development and manufacturing.
